Slate is a solid, sound and sensible show horse. Easy to prep and has been competitive, won and placed in everything from rookies to open non pro. As a Stallion he in super quiet and a real gentleman, he has produced for us a number of progeny that have all had great conformation and excellent temperament including Medicine Bow our 2018 snaffle bit futurity finalist. He has been ridden by kids and beginners and adjusts accordingly. His pedigree is full of some of the most sort after bloodlines(Bob Acre Doc-Peppy San Badger-Docs Stylish Oak-Mr Linton-Jewels Leo Bars) and he would make an ideal cross over some of todays most popular cutting and camp draft lines. He has excellent confirmation and has remained totally sound his entire career. If your just looking for a solid show horse then gelding would be an option. Only selling to concentrate on our younger age event horses and he is too good just to sit in the paddock. He is very low maintenance , pretty laid back but always hangs tough on a cow. 14.1 hands 13 yrs old.
