sale barn update (August 20th 2008)
A quiet week this week compared to last week. We have a total of fourteen new entries. This includes the eight additions to the Broken River Dispersal Sale as mentioned last week. One horse has been withdrawn from sale.
As mentioned Broken River have added two two year olds and six yearlings to their dispersal sale. One two year old is by that great Champion Playtime Dreamer and the other by Dual Derby Champion Reyn Storm. The six yearlings are all by Reyn Storm with one special colt on offer out of the Spinifex Mare Doc's Deb.
The well performed gelding Malandas Playboy (pictured left) is up for sale he has been trained by Joe Gibson and very well known around the cutting circuit as a great performer. Also in the mature section Paul Selleck has a Smart Little Scotty mare for sale. This mare has four months training mainly with Dean Holden. Paul also has the broodmare Spicy Lady up for sale. This mare was a place getter in the Futurity and the Derby.
Top Gun Quarter Horses has added three horses, one is a broodmare by Doc's Kool Tivio out of a Peppy Snake mare. Their other two horses on offer are yearlings. One is a Double bred Bills Cutter mare with some Commanders Boy blood, the other is a smart little palomino filly (pictured right)with a Triple cross of Two Eyed Jack. With just under thirty listings in the yearling section you are sure to find the bloodlines you are looking for. Definitely no shortage of variety.
BNB Quarter Horse stud has withdrawn their Peptos Filly from sale. She is now a keeper and has just started training.
The Lectric Playboy stallion service auction is traveling very well with the bidding up to $1725. All proceeds (less $500 shute fee) will go to the Tyalgum Public School to help fund carers needed to help six year old boy Delaney through his first years at school. This a great chance to secure a service to what will undoubtedly be the sire of the future in Australia. Due to a technical glitch in one section of the Auction it actually states that urbanranges is the highest bidder with a bid of $1500. This is incorrect the highest bid is $1725 by ozcutter. Hopefully this glitch will be fixed before the Auction ends.
Don't forget that the conditions of the sale barn will change on September 8th when the cost to advertise will be $10 for three months. An additional charge of $10 will also be incurred if you require changes to your ad after it has been listed.
