next years ras will be even bigger.

Southern Cross Cutting Club have just confirmed that the 2009 RAS Cutting program at Sydney has been extended to run over 3 days next year, with a total guaranteed purse of $33,000.
Also the three days of Cutting will be held over the Easter weekend next year which will free up stabling issues experienced this year, when it was held over the last weekend of the show.

The dates are;
Good Friday 10th April
Sat 11th April
Sun 12th April

The program will remain with 3 events each day
Open (gtd $4,000) Open Non Pro (gtd $4,000) Novice (gtd $3,000)

Entry forms will be included in the Chatta early in the new year.

The RAS has also confirmed that all horses accepted and competing at the Show
will be required to be microchipped and have that microchip registered with the
Australasian Animal Registry, as per this year's Show. If horses competed in 2008 and registered their microchip with the AAR, they are not required to register again.
The cost to register with the AAR will be $9 per horse for lifetime registration.

This years event was down on numbers because of E.I and the short notice gives to put the event on, nonetheless it attracted entries from Victoia and New South Wales of high quality. The Playboy Roy horse won two events to take home $5,500 out of the $22,000 on offer. I'm sure with things back to normal and the opportunity to win more prizemoney this event will be a must do on many cutters calender for 2009.

Congratulations to all responsible in organizing such a great event that not only offers generous prize monies but exposes the sport of Cutting to the greater general public.
