and the futurity photographer is ....

As everyone is probably aware by now, yours truly will the official photographer at both this years D.D.C.C and N.C.H.A futurities. But what some of you might not be aware of is that I will be making myself available after both Futurities to photograph Stallions and Stud facilities in the areas.

This is a very exciting time for me as this will be my first NCHA Futurity. I have been associated with the Darling Downs Cutting Club for a few years now and was fortunate enough to be the official photographer for last years NCHA National Finals and the Toowoomba Futurity. I was also the videographer at Last years Goondiwindi Futurity.

This is the culmination of many years of hard work travelling around, photographing affiliate shows in the South East Queensland and Northern Rivers area. I easily recall my first cover shot as I had to drop the photo into the post box on my way to the hospital for the birth of my son just under six years ago. It was a photo of Doc's Sonic that I took at an S.Q.C.H.A show held at Boonah. It appeared on the cover of that months AQHA magazine. Since then I have had articles appear in the Australian Horseman magazine as well as the AQHA magazine. I have also had cover shots appearing on Cutting Horse Chatta and Horse Deals.

Dave Christensen was very much an inspiration and thanks to Dave for the advice and support he gave me over the years. With upgraded lighting and cameras this years indoor photos are sure to be better than ever.

Apart from my experience in the show arena photography, I have been an avid photographer for over twenty years having completed numerous short courses and being an active member of Camera Clubs through the years. Having won Honours and Merits awards along the way.

I have now made the transition from film to digital photography and yes I still do have my old film camera in my pack.

One of the other services I provide is to photograph Stallions and Stud Portfolios for use in magazine ads, websites. brochures etc. Whilst I am in the Tamworth and Toowoomba area's I will be making myself available the week after both futurities to take photos for Stallion owners in these areas. I will not be able to take such photos during the shows. So anyone interested can contact me on (02) 66 793652.

I will be available in the Toowoomba area from Monday the 15th of Septmber and in the Tamworth area Monday October the 5th. Naturally I am always available for anyone who wants me to travel to their property in areas all around Australia.
