NCHA Summer Spectacular
The NCHA Summer spectacular is under way in the US with the Derby and Classic Challenge titles up for grabs. As usual there is a strong Aussie contingent. The Classic Challenge is already underway with the first go round already completed. The original 230 entries has been narrowed down to 129 for the second go round which at the time of writing was underway. A score of 210 was the cut of mark with Kiwi rider Clint Allen on Hydrive Cat top scoring with a 222. Clint Allen is also tied 10th on Wood I Never. The best of the Aussies Sean Flynn, Roger Wagner and Aaron Wheatley who all scored 217 and are sitting equal thirteenth. Ryon Emerton, Darren Simpkins and John Mitchell have also mane it through to the second Round.
The first Go Round of the Derby will start next Friday with Aussies Terry Clifford, Guy Woods, Darren Simpkins, Roger Wagner, Wayne Robinson, Ryon Emerton, John Mitchell, Aaron Wheatley, and Sean Flynn featuring in the field of 258.
High Brow Cat, Chic Please, Dual Rey, Peptoboonsmal and Zack T Wood are some of the sires represented in the Top Ten.
