whats on this weekend (july 3rd 2008)

Its a big week end this week for just about everyone with a working horse. Theere are two big cutting shows on, both in Queensland.

Cotton Country Cutting Club has attracted huge numbers at Goondiwindi. This is one championship show with OPEN & OPEN NON PRO $10000 NOVICE & $3500 NOVICE, NOVICE NON PRO, $10000 NON PRO, $3500 NON PRO, ROOKIES, SNAFFLEBIT & YOUTH. All enquiries to Maxine Ambrose 0438 799062.

The other show is up in clermont. There is a jackpot show and a Championship Show all $500 added except for thr Rookies which is $250 added. The events are

Once again there are campdrafts galore. Eight in Queensland, Two in New South Wales and one in South Australia.

The Queensland Drafts are Mt Isa from Friday to Sunday, enquiries to Carol Letts (07)47 437 754. Dalby from Friday to Sunday the Ladies event is first cab off the ranks at 8 am. The New South Wales Drafts are Mallanganee, that's a three day draft na dthe contact there is Pauline Mortimer (02)66 625 876. The other one is at Kangaroo Creek. This one is combined with a Junior Rodeo. Contact Lindy Muldoon on (02) 6649 4017 for details.

Last but not least for the drafts there's a three day campdraft in the Fitzroy Valley and the contact for that one is Kelly Smith on (08)91 914 748.

In Western Performance, the Central Queensland Quarter Horse Association is having a big three day show in Rockhampton. enquiries to Annette Hughes on 07 4975 6609. Yarra Valley Quarter Horse Association has a little show on Saturday contact Sharon Mutimer 03 5968 9767 and last but not least in Queensland again Laidley and Wallon Quarter Horse and Performance club is havi ng a one day show at Rosewood.
