what's on this week end (August 14th 2008)
No matter what your sport there is something for everyone this week end.
The Top End Working Horse Club is having two jackpot shows this week end at Springvale Station Lakeland. The events are Open, $10000 Novice, Open Non Pro, Rookies. From the top end to down the bottom the WGQHA , are holding a Jackpot show at GARFIELD. The events are the OPEN, $10000 NOVICE, $3500 NOVICE, NOVICE NON PRO, OPEN NON PRO, $10000 NON PRO , $3500 NON PRO, ROOKIES, SNAFFLEBIT and the YOUTH . For Camp drafters and challengers there are events all around the country this week end. In Western Australia there is the Derby Camp draft, on the 15 th and 16th and the Derby Rodeo on the 16th and 17th. The contact RACHELLE STANLEY (04) 3794 4761. Also on the 16th is a One Day event at El Caballo Rodeo and the contact for that one is Jenny Lucas (08) 9573 3777.
In New South Wales there is the Gunnedah Camp draft on the 16th and the contact is Sharyn Hancox (02) 6742 7409. On the 16th and 17th Walget are hosting a Camp draft, Rodeo and Junior Rodeo Alana Douglas is the person to contact for that one. (04) 1943 6360. There are also two day drafts at Coolati, and Kyogle. The contact for Coolati is Mary-Anne Brown (02)67 299 208 and for Kyogle, Wendy Piggott (02)66 321 220. On the 17th the 2nd Go Round of the Macleay Challenge Futurity is on the contact Barry Lee, 0428 236 853.
Queensland is hosting three drafts this week end. Blue Mountain, Dingo and Burke & Wills. Blue Mountain contact is Greg Neaton (07)49 541 003, Dingo is Karin Howard (07)49 359 136 and the Burke & Wills contact is Coral Davies (07)47 425 964.

In Brisbane The Quarter Horse events for "The Ekka" are on this Saturday. Enquiries for that one Andrew Tudor 07 3253 3921. Whilst we are in Queensland the Silver Spurs Western Performance & Quarter Horse Club are having a show on Saturday at Mt Larcom.
