WHATS ON THIS WEEK (JUNE 5TH 2008)

Two affiliated shows this week end one in NSW and one in Qld, there is also an unafiliated show up in North Qld.

PEEL VALLEY CUTTING CLUB is having a show at the QUIRINDI SHOWGROUNDS. Two shows one a championship show, the other a Jackpot show withthe following events.OPEN, $10000 NOVICE, OPEN NP, NOVICE /NON PRO, $10000 NON Pro, $3500 NON PRO, ROOKIES. and the SNAFFLEBIT There is also a pre works on the Sunday. all enquiries to Sec:Nadean Turner 0267 771116.

SQCHA, is having their June event at BURRANDOWAN.Its one CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW. over 2 days. Here are the events. OPEN, $10000 NOVICE, NOV/NON PRO, OPEN NON PRO, $10000 NON PRO, $3500 NON PRO, ROOKIES, SNAFFLEBIT, YOUTH, BEGINNER RIDER AND BEGINNER HORSE. There is also a FUTURITY PREWORKS on Friday Enquireis Sec:Sally Ferguson 0754 635984

Further North the first unaffiliated Cutting Show for the year for the Burdekin Quarter Horse and Cutting Association inc. will be held at the Burdekin Ag College on Saturday with a practice day being run by Col Johnson on sunday.

The club requests that if there is anybody who can help out on the day in any way please let them know, many hands make light work and a more enjoyable day for everyone. Give Anne a call on 4782 7010 or let her know on the day that you are available. They will also have bright vests available for anybody who is willing to turn back or herd hold, this will help make it easier for everyone to know who they can ask for help.
A Hi-Point rug has been kindly donated by Tom Parry & Co and will be up for grabs on the day! They will also be running a raffle for a bucket of horse goodies donated by Lanskey’s, so bring along any extra change so you can grab yourself a ticket.

In Victoria there is the MRWP Club Day - Horsemanship clinic - 'Back to basics', $50 lunch included, contact Carole on 0149 338 144 for more information.

And finally on X-Treme Quarter Horses is hosting a Western Pleasure/Horsemanship Clinic with trainer Doug Hill, $150 for the weekend, lunch supplied, camping stables and yards are available. (X-Treme QH's located at 246 Sandilands Rd, Kaarimba, Vic 3635) This Clinic is a fundraiser for Samantha Mullen to go to the USA to compete in the Summer Spectacular Cutting Show.
