Roger Wagner scored a 219.5 riding Pet Squirrel to earn third place in the final of the Classic Challenge Event at this years Summer Spectacular in Texas USA. Pet Squirrel and Roger earned a wildcard entry into the final after winning the wildcard event with a score of 221. Pet Squirrel is by Playdox a son of Freckles Playboy out of a mare by CD O'Lena. Roger also rode Don't Hick Up to eight place with a score of 216. Don't Hick Up is by Bob's Freckle. The event was won by Royal Red Pepto a horse by Peptoboonsmal out of a Freckles Playboy mare and ridden by Shannon Hall, the winning score was 222. Kiwi Clint Allen also fared well with a fourth place on the Buffalo Ranch Stallion, Hydrive Cat scoring 217.5 and 21st place in the field of twenty five on Wood I Never. Hydrive Cat is by High Brow Cat . Australia is well represented in the Derby with many expat Aussie trainers riding. The 1st Go Round commences on Friday Morning US time. back to main page |
