broken river are having a sale Due to work commitments that seem to keep Broken River Stud owner Peter Trinke, on the other side of the world for most of the time lately, Peter and Partner Sigrid van Fondern have decided to disperse with a large number of their horses.
Broken River Quarter Horse Stud is the home of Dual Derby Champion Reyn Storm (pictured left) and the highest point scoring Stallion in Australia, Playtime Dreamer.
The sale includes eight broodmares with most in foal to Reyn Storm.All these mares bloodlines are of exceptional quality with the likes of Doc's Spinifex, Tassa Lena, Docs Freckles Oak, Freckles Playboy, Clover Cherry Ripe, Mr Freckles Boy, Hill King Pistol, Dual Pep and Hank Man Leo to name just a few in their pedigree. Included in this group are 2001 NCHA Futurity place getter Erin Opal Isle (pictured right) and 2001 NCHA Futurity semi Finalist Tassa Doc's.
There are also four ridden horses including Playtime Dreamer himself (pictured right). With NCHA earnings of over $35,000 this horse is a bargain at $18,000. Playtime Dreamer has the highest score ever by any Stallion in Australia with 153 points. Amongst his many wins, he was the Classic Challenge Champion at the 2004 Werribee Futurity. He also won the Open Cutting at the same Futurity.
The other three ridden horses are all sired by Playtime Dreamer and are in various stages of training. With BR Twice as Smart being prepared by Phil Dawson for this years Snaffle Bit Futurity. Pictured left is the well performed 6 year old mare Playtimes Spinny Rose.
