HEELLLOOOO LADIES!

PLEASE NOTE – THIS IS NOW A ‘RESTRICTED' AFFILIATED EVENT.
“Competing in it will NOT effect your Non Pro status” as quoted by the NCHA.

Eastern Falls Cutting Events have recently announced the new SUNKISSED $15000 LADIES  SERIES , Cutting Competition. To be held over 5 go rounds, and culminating in a TOP 10 aggregate  final to be held during the Sire Super Stakes at Uralla in April 2010.

When asked where this great (one sided) idea came from, Mark Watt of Eastern Falls Cutting Events  (EFCE) replied “ it is obvious that the Ladies play a huge part in this sport, wether it be dedicated to  their trainer husbands, or just simply dedicated to competing, and in most cases both, they play an  important role in the sport and its future….. so here's our way of saying ‘THANKS'”

As always large guaranteed purses like this one are not possible without the help of sponsors, and as  the name says SUNKISSED QUARTER HORSES, owned by Barbara Williams, and operated by  professional trainer Luke Lyons, is the major sponsor behind this lucrative series.

A total of $15000 is up for grabs, and the rules role outside your typical Non Pro rider event. The only  stipulation is that the competitor must be a lady, from there the shackles are off. Ladies can ride up to  2 horses per Go Round, and any horse, borrowed, begged or stol… well you get the idea, can be  ridden.

The highest scoring horse from each horse and rider combination will be added together as an  aggregate of the Go Rounds to find the TOP 10 LADIES. Should a TOP 10 qualifier not be able to  compete at the nominated finals event, then the next qualifier will be offered that spot.

The go rounds commence in October this year at Toogoolawah, and then go to Woodenbong in the  same month, then to Inglewood in November, and then on to Armidale during the Futurity, and  finishing the go rounds at North Star during the last weekend OF March. Understanding that not all  competitors can get to each Go Round, and that a Lady doing well at one show, may not do so at  another, will keep the competitors guessing right to the last go round, as to who will make the TOP 10 .

Ladies Cuttings were a popular competition years ago, but have died off in more recent times. It looks  like for now, The Ladies are back in fashion, thanks again to the team at EASTERN FALLS  CUTTING EVENTS.
