The Cotton Country Cutting Club is based in Goondiwindi in the South West Downs, Queensland. The Club was originally founded in Boggabilla over the river from Goondiwindi, with events being held at the showgrounds in that town. Early members included Clarrie Hillard, Robert MacKay and Col MacTaggart. The club has since held 14 Futurities at the Goondiwindi Showgrounds, also holding a weekend show in May of each year. In 2005 the club erected a new arena which was funded by over 20 sponsors whose signs are displayed on panels at the arena. The club has now worked with local council to improve drainage and construct an area designated to two large practice pens. The next item on the agenda is to source funding for an indoor arena.
