No matter which Cow sport, some competitors who are just starting off, or just starting a young horse find themselves placed in the same situation. They find themselves showing up to an event with either themselves or their horse, or both, without ever seeing a cow. Cutting Loose at Lakota View would like to change that.
Booyal couple Richard and Leaone Munn has a vision and they are pleased to announce that this vision is finally off the ground. They have an 800 acre property running around 160 head of cattle with a fully functional arena and are proud to announce that this is now open to the public for hire for clubs, Cutting clinics, general horsemanship clinics and preparing your horse for camp or cutting work.

" We mainly started it because, when we were team penning and at drafts, a lot of people and their horses had not even seen a cow until that day” says Leaonne, “so we thought we may as well open up our arena and supply of fresh cattle to give people a chance to work their horse, and themselves on cattle before going and paying big noms at the these events just to use them as practice” she continues, “ We have noticed it already helping, as both people who went in the latest draft, out this way placed in the draft and won the cut out.... “
Leonne and Richard have recently purchased the cutting horse JRL Oaks Restyle from Jason Leitch, “purchasing this horse from Jason and Rachel was our first introduction to cutting but we liked what we saw. and hoping to get more involved”.. ..! and more involved they are. They regularly host practice weekends and are planning to have four or more clinics in 2010 featuring some awesome trainers.
Their first cutting clinic will be with Jason Leitch on June 12 th & 13 th , not a bad start to their vision. Their vision is also that trainers and clubs can go online and book their arena and cattle for their clinics.
