Prominent Tamworth breeding establishment Tamarang, owned and operated by Richard and Sandi Bull, is on board as the naming rights sponsor of the 2010 NCHA Futurity – the richest three-year old performance horse event in the country.

Both Richard and Sandi have had a long association with cutting, with Richard's involvement going back almost 30 years when he first competed in the Futurity.

“Tamarang is honoured to be the naming rights sponsor of the 2010 NCHA Futurity, as we feel strongly about supporting the industry that supports us.

“We're proud to have brought the best bloodlines in the world to Australia so money stays in our industry to support it, instead of our equity going to America ,” Mr Bull said.

Taking on major sponsorship of the Futurity seemed like a natural progression he said, as he had sponsored the Derby for the past few events and donated minor sponsorship to the sport for about 16 years.

Tamarang will also have progeny of their most recently imported stallion Whos Top Cat debuting in the 2010 event.

“The NCHA Futurity is the pinnacle of cutting in Australia and we're pleased to play a part in ensuring it succeeds, grows and stays in Tamworth ,” Mr Bull said.

NCHA marketing and sponsorship manager Nicky Smith was thrilled to have Tamarang on board and being a high-calibre and industry-related sponsor was also great news for the association.

"It's fabulous given the current economic climate; the support and interest in the sport of cutting keeps going from strength to strength.

"We are very excited that a local stud with stallions of the calibre of Acres Destiny (imp), Tassa Lena (imp) and Whos Top Cat (imp) has secured the naming rights to the 2010 Futurity," Mrs Smith said.
